    Round up of HTML editors

    Colin Burns - 15 June, 2009 (09:00)

To be able to create custom designed websites for your customers with cmsadvantage there are a number of ways. Firstly you could use our conversion service. This service allows you to design the site yourself in photoshop for example and then send us the design file. We will convert the design into HTML and integrate it into the cmsadvantage as a template for you. Secondly you could again do the design and outsource the HTML to a cheap conversion service and then integrate the HTML into the template yourself or, finally you could do it all yourself. Create the design, convert it to html and integrate into a cmsadvantage template. To take the best advantage of the third option I thought I would provide you with a round up of some popular HTML editors.

The new standard for multi user Twitter Accounts

    Colin Burns - 04 June, 2009 (13:00)

Yesterday I noticed @campaignmonitorstarted using a method that allows multiple individuals within the single company to post to the combined company twitter account but to still be individually identified.

Now I am not sure if this is a convention that @campaignmonitorstarted or if this is a convention that is already in the twitterverse but I think it is a fantastic idea.

    Colin Burns - 20 May, 2009 (11:03)

Today I am starting my 10 videos in 2 days challenge. The video topics are quite diverse and I think it the challenge should be quite doable. But I guess the proof will be in the pudding as they say.

Showing off our new banner adverts

    Colin Burns - 18 May, 2009 (14:03)

I just thought it would be nice to get some feedback for our new banner ads which we are going to be placing on some websites through the buysellads.com network (@buysellads). We have two specific styles for the ads, although at this time we can only place the smaller ones. I'll be look for a few sites to add the large advert on as I think this is a really cool ad. We turned around the adverts in pretty short time, so if you have any feedback, please feel free to offer up your suggestions, they will be readily listened to :).

The process of setting up a website is too difficult for most people

    Colin Burns - 18 May, 2009 (12:07)

Wow, the process for setting up a website is difficult and complicated! Over the weekend I helped a friend of mine set up a WordPress blog for a new book she has written... In this blog post I walk through the process that we went through and break it down. I couldn't believe the complexity and wonder how any none tech savvy people ever manage to set up a website.

Are auto following services evil or am I just jealous

    Colin Burns - 11 May, 2009 (17:33)

In these relatively formative days of the twitterverse (I know if has been around for years, but pop culture has only recently discovered it) are the programs that allow twitter users to automatically follow other twitter users a good or a bad thing. Or is it simple jealousy that someone who hasn't even posted an update has more followers than I do?

Why I changed my Twitter profile name

    Colin Burns - 07 May, 2009 (09:29)

After organically building up my follower base over the past couple of months why would I go and do something as silly as changing my twitter username from @cmsadvantage to @ccburns?
