Is hosting included with my reseller account?

Am I locked into a contract with cmsadvantage?

Absolutely not. We offer a month to month service with no lock in period beyond that.

We'll give you the best service and range of features we possibly can and our aim is to work with you for months and years to come. However, we understand not all things will last and for any number of reasons you may choose to move on.

As a cmsadvantage reseller what do I have to do?

You will get the best value from your reseller account if you use cmsadvantage as the main tool for website creation for your clients. This way you benefit from using a single on-line control panel to manage all your client websites. Click here to find further benefits.

We recommend a reseller uses the free cmsadvantage account to demonstrate to clients how easy it will be for them to edit and manage their website content. As a reseller you can demonstrate how easy it is to change pages, add a page, change menu options and a whole host of other features that promote your work to a prospective client.

Why is there a monthly charge for some plans?

Not only have we developed (and continue to develop) cmsadvantage but we pay for the hosting infrastructure upon which cmsadvantage and the client sites run. We have a monthly subscription for each website created on a Bronze, Silver or Gold plan to cover hosting, support and ongoing development costs.

The good news is that cmsadvantage resellers recharge this subscription on to their clients as part of their service to their clients. It is completely up to the reseller as to the amount they recharge. It is perfectly reasonable to add a margin of 30% to 50% to the cmsadvantage subscription.

How do I manage domains with cmsadvantage?

A big part of our philosophy was to make domain creation and management as simple as possible.

Using a domain registered with cmsadvantage

Register a domain from within the cmsadvantage control panel and it will automatically be delegated to your new cmsadvantage website.

Using a domain registered elsewhere

You may have a domain already purchased and registered with another company or you may prefer to purchase domains through a company where you like the prices or have done business with over the years. That's no problem.

Create a site with cmsadvantage (which will initially be a subdomain of cmsadvantage) and when you're ready, delegate your domain name to the cmsadvantage name servers and upgrade your cmsadvantage subscription to use a unique domain name.

What if I'd like to do the design but to outsource the HTML coding?

No problems at all. We offer a range of design services to help you if you'd rather outsource the coding or have too much work on. Our most popular package is HTML Advantage and further details can be found on our Design Services page.

Will cmsadvantage work for both Macs and PCs?

Definitely. We don't want to dictate which desktop OS you should use. As a 100% on-line service we work with Mac OSX, Windows and Linux. We support most browsers and specifically IE7+, FF2+, Safari & Chrome.
